“A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” — Lao Tzu, Chinese Philosopher
Welcome to Retired by Choice!
Retired by Choice will contain all of the knowledge about personal finances, money management and just plain money that I’ve acquired over my lifetime. By sharing my story — with all of the ups-and-downs — I am hoping it will help to empower you to gain control over YOUR personal finances so you might achieve YOUR life goals.
Anyone, yourself included, can be financially fit if they are willing to invest a small amount of thought and effort. From this moment on, no matter what the state of your personal finances is, you CAN improve them!
Please take some time to browse around — I’m sure you will find something that is useful to you! If you are not squeamish take a look at My Financial Story — it will be like one of those bad accidents you encounter on the freeway that you don’t want to look at but do anyways. OK, it really isn’t that bad!
Want to know how I retired at age 38? Check out my Retirement Story. If I was able to do it then pretty much anyone can!
On the left sidebar in the Financial Toolbox you will find links to many “financial tools” as I like to call them — savings accounts, credit cards, insurance, etc… Keep in mind that some tools are better to use than others — and some you might be better off not using at all.
On the right sidebar you will find links to many areas of money management to explore. This area is Your Financial Workshop — your place to learn everything you want to know about subjects including money-saving tips, credit and debt basics and more!
